Society of Illustrators Visit

Image
My trip to the society of illustrators I saw the drawing of Gahan Wilson's painting "Werewolf Waiting in Veterinary Office" is a interesting and creative piece of art that is captivating in its use of color with it being black and white and overall simply and why I like it so much. The painting is a masterful example of Wilson's unique style, which combines elements of  humor and its comparison on how people might be nervous on to go to a doctors visit and now a wolf is nervous and scared to go to the vet. One of the reasons why "Werewolf Waiting in Veterinary Office" is so good and my favorite is because of the way that Wilson has used color to create a mood and atmosphere that is both eerie and unsettling but also can be funny or humorous to other people. Another reason why the painting is so effective is because of its composition. The placement of the werewolf in the chair and how he's sweating and looks nervous and not exited at all , creates a sens...

Blend modes

Image
While doing this photoshop blend modes I took a picture of myself and there was a total of 26 different kinds of blend modes and I used pictures of me and put a different blend mode each time. As you can see that even though the same picture you can defiantly see the difference of blend modes. You can see how its different in color or in texture. With the first blend mode being dissolve From both layers, random pixels are taken in the dissolve mode. Most pixels are taken from the top layer when top layer opacity is higher than bottom layer opacity, but most pixels are taken from the bottom layer when top layer opacity is low. As this blend option does not employ anti-aliasing, the images could appear harsh and grainy and the last one being Saturation Saturation. The hue and brightness of the base colors are affected by the saturation of the blend colors in the saturation blending mode (details). If the base layer is a neutral gray, saturation won't make a difference. Because none o...

logo dev final

Logo Dev Final  Creating a logo for any company can be a challenging but rewarding task. When designing the logo for my company "Rodolfo's Sports Club", I wanted to create a design that captured the essence of the company's target audience as for why I put a basketball , baseball , soccer ball and a football so I can be shown that this is a sports company. First, I researched the target audience of the sports club and the types of sports they specialize in. This helped me understand what type of design would be suitable for the logo. Next, I brainstormed various concepts and sketched out some rough ideas. After narrowing down my designs to a few favorites, I presented them to the peers or classmates for feedback. The color palette was predominantly black and white , representing a sense of seriousness for my company showing that its not just a simple brand but more then one and really want to help whoever wants sports equipment and showing how this isn't like any...
